Diya was hired by the USC Viterbi Graduate Engineering Admissions Dept. to provide prospective graduate students an authentic glimpse of student and campus life through her blogs. Over 4 semesters, she wrote 108 blogs. Two of her blogs ranked #1 for digital monthly traffic. Three prospective students also reached out to her to learn more about USC Viterbi based on her blogs and one or two of them later joined the program.

Topics ranged from: healthcare operations and artificial neural networks (AI) to design thinking, institutional memory, and mechatronics. Some fun topics like drumming, the Los Angeles paradox, and downtown brunch spots also added flavor.

She worked directly with the Director of Graduate Recruitment, and her blogs required very little editing or review. Blog articles ranged from bite-size to medium length (100-1000 words) to capture the attention of a busy student audience. The tone was informative, engaging, and conversational.
