The San Diego Engineers website is run by the non-profit organization, San Diego County Engineering Council. Diya volunteered as a Social Media Reporter for Engineers Week 2023. To support local legends and promote the event, Diya wrote a 75 word bio on engineering legend, Dr. Klein Shaw Gilhousen.
Without prior training, Diya learned on-the-job how to use Canva to create the graphics shown in the gallery that were used in digital flyers and social media channels. During the event, she took photos, interviewed attendees, and used their quotes to create engaging captions, and uploaded Instagram posts in real-time. Unfortunately, the Walls.IO page used to capture these posts is no longer accessible.
